How would I go about restoring these console caps? Just sand off them and paint them? How do I fill in the holes from the old windshield?

Also I have a 5 inch crack in one of the console caps. I'm thinking about using hot staples to repair the crack. After that, how do I fix the topside?

Are they fiberglass w gelcoat? They almost look more like some sort of molded plastic.

The 1 in the middle pix has a wierd lizard.skin texture to it....

Whats a hot stable?

abs plastic degrades over time as well as all other plastics. after about 20 years, the mechanical properties are gone. you see the flaking and delamination from the material break down. UV is hard on plastic

I would putty those up with some spackle, sand them smooth and make a mold from them to make some fiberglass caps

Scott I think you read my mind, or actually I read yours. I was thinking that exact same idea, and then read you post. I would certainly repair the assembly and then use it to make a copy out of fiberglass and polyester resin. A few coats of fiberglass with polyester resin and it would be solid as a rock. JMHO
