Restoring old Starcraft 12', need gunnel trim

I recently purchased a 1958 Starcraft 12' v-hull mainly to purchased the outboard but after looking over the boat I would like to make it my small lake fishing craft. The boat is missing all gunnel trim (or is it a "cap"?). The previous owner screwed 3/4" pine strips to beef up the gunnel but I would like to restore to an aluminum type of cap. Can anyone suggest a place that I can purchase a "cap" that fits over a single sheet of aluminum that would serve as a gunnel trim? I was looking at a Lowes bass boat this weekend and the gunnel cap on that boat would be perfect.

Thanks in advance.

You probably would not be happy with the prices but google Extruded Aluminum Cap Rail and be sitting down!!

Wood is actually real nice........ maybe you could replace that with mahogany or even oak with a nice spar varnish finish ;)
