a couple of years ago I did a resto on my 81 trophy hardtop. new stringers, transom, gussets everything. well I had a mishap and lost the pin on the hitch 2 summers ago. boat left the trailer at 65mph and ground the keel down pretty good. after 2 attempts at fixing it the boat still wont drive right.found a good deal on an aluminium 22'er and it is time to send the old girl to the scrap heap. I will give it a month on CL for someone to come and get it for free. I feel kinda bad retiring her as I have hundreds of hours and thousands of fish while on her deck. she was good to me. took me out in the sun and brought me back in the worst water I have ever seen. sorry for my ramblings but had to tell someone.

I do not have any pics right now and I searched shareaproject and my pics are not there anymore. the boat would be great if someone just rebuilt the keel. with the motor that is on it now 2008 yamaha 150 it does 43-44 before I chop the throttle cuz it gets squirrely. boat will not have a motor or trailer when I get rid of it as I will be using them for the new boat. keel is still mostly intact, just ground off theport side at about a 45 degree angle. at the risk of getting this post deleted, you canread the particulars minus motor and trailer on seattle craigslist, search for 1981 trophy.

Just checking if you have gotten rid of this boat yet? I tried to look on CL but couldn't find it.

ya I know.I wrote the whole thing up and was going to go back and edit but just never did. I wasn't trying to screw anyone as the damaged area (quick glass over with no paint) is very obvious to the eye. all is well though, the motor is off and the boat is on the ground. pick up my brand new boat on friday. I have never owned a new boat, can't wait to drill the first hole in it. probably won't mention the damage in detail as the sharaproject page has been updated and can direct people to there.
