I have a bunk trailer.
Is there a recommended minimum approach angle when retrieving at the ramp?
Under the stress of trying to hit my target with beginner skills, I've come in with my stern at least 30 degrees off center, but noticed that the bunks and guide posts "caught" the bow and straightened the hull as I gently motored forward.
While that method worked to get me back on the trailer, my concern is for the lower hull. I'd rather hone my skills and hit the trailer dead straight, but until I can do that, am I hurting anything by letting the bunks pivot the hull that much?
I do notice some light scuffing of the lower hull (bunk rash?), but no crazing or cracking of the gel coat.
