I have a 1972 cruisers Inc. with a mercruiser 888. Friday night one of the hydraulic lines on my power trim blew sending oil all through the bilge. I managed to get the boat on the trailer and home. I was able to find the line that blew and it went from the reverse lockout valve through the transom and to a manifold under the gimble housing. Was able to order a new one and now will have to fish it through transom. At the same time I noticed that the two blue wires connected to a switch attached to the reverse lockout valve have come off. For the life of me I cannot figure out where they go. They are still attached to the switch its the other ends that are giving me fits. The service manual is not real clear. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they fixed it ? Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!
