Reverse on 1150 Mercury 115hp

My reverse makes a grinding noise and doesn't seem to back the boat up very well, I read a post that said clutch dogs being worn would do this, how would I replace or repair this, how hard is it to do, this is my first boat, so detailed explanations help. Thanks

Drain Lower unit<br />Remove prop nut<br />Remove prop<br />Remove thrust washer<br />Remove bolts that hold prop shaft carrier in place. Should be 2<br />Pry or pull bearing carrier out<br />Remove spring from around clutch<br />Remove retainer pin. To remove, you may have to push the spring down by pushing on the housing end of the prop shaft.<br />Slide clutch off prop shaft<br /><br />k
