reverse on 1976 Mercury 1750

Ok I have figured out that this motor does not have a mechanical reverse lock mechanism. I was wondering if anyone had a diagram of the control box . I am trying to tighten up the play in the shifter.

Which box do you have merc boxs have no adjustment, neither do most aftermarket boxs other than the adjustment for differant brands of engines
