Reverse rotation.

OK here is a dumb question. If I was to install a left hand prop on a standard rotation drive and operated my controls backwards what would be the conscequences (mechanically)? Of course this would be only temporary. (Like I trouble with forward gear). OMC cobra 5.0 sterndrive(88')

You will destroy your drive in short order.....At idle to get you from point A to B to avoid a tow cost, sure....Anything more and it will go kaput quick....JK
