Reversing The Steering??

Hi,<br /><br /> I am considering purchasing an Evinrude outboard that is on a boat with stick steering. What concerns me is that the stick steering is on the left hand side, so the cable goes into the motor on the port side. Is it possible to reverse this, so the steering can be hooked up on the normal side (starboard)?<br /><br />Any help is greatly appreciated.<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Shane
