Does anyone use Revolution Flea/heartworm treatment for dogs?

Vet just gave me Revolution for the cat, but didnt mention it for the dog. Gave Frontline for the dog and normal heartworm medicine.

Ken

Re: Revolution Flea/Heartworm for dogs

I do the same thing for my dogs, Ken. Frontline for fleas and ticks, and Heartgard chewables for the heartworms. They do offer Revolution for dogs, but my present treatment works so well, I'm just a little hesitant to change it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it Y'know? Let me know how the Revolution works.

My belief is that in exchange for the convenience of using one med for both (Revolution), you sacrifice efficacy w.r.t. flea & tick protection (does revolution even protect against ticks?).

I'd go with either Heartguard or Interceptor for heartworm and either TopSpot Plus or Advantix Rx for ticks & fleas....
