I have a 1976 I/O Tri-Hull. The exisiting wiring is either corroded, broken, or eaten by rodents. Want to directly rewire my Tilt/Trim and Fuel gauges. Have new Trim and Tilt Senders, Fuel Sensor, and gauges. My fuel tank has a ground terminal on the tank. Can anyone help?

Ayuh,... What I/O,..??

The fuel gauge has a power terminal,+ a sender terminal...
Hook igntion power to the power terminal,+ the sender to the sender terminal...
The ground terminal on the tank should be bonded to the engine block...

There are four terminals on most gauges. +12 volts when the key is on, ground, sender, and internal light. If you look at the very top of this forum there is a "Generic Boat Wiring Diagram" sticky up there. It shows how gauges are typically wired.
