Rhino lining as a keel guard?

What do you think about it? Would it adhere to gel coat? Provide sufficient protection?

I wouldn't think so at all. You can buy metal keel guards, that are great and look nice too.

Do a thread search on this topic, should be a few out there.

General consensus on those threads is it would add excessive drag, may not adhere correctly, and probably won't last long in a marine environment.

This is a been there done that. The boat I just sold I had tried that on. Keep in mind I work for a new car dealership that does bedliners on new and used trucks. It looked great for a year. It was put on properly. I used that boat in Canada and is sat in the water for a week at a time twice a year. The 3rd trip up, it peeled off at speed. So I would not do it again.

Cool, thanks for insight, it was just a thought. I guess keel shield or keel guard is the way to go.
