When I have the motor running with the water hose hooked up it's throwing smoke it not alot but noticable. this is my first boat ever I've been working on the boat for a while trying to get it ready for the lake it's all done but i want to make sure everything is working right before i put it on the lake for my first time ever.

Re: rich?

A little smoke is normal, if you have so much it kills the pets you have then its too rich. When out of the water you are able to see the smoke more due to the exhaust being out of the water. In the water the exhaust snout is submerged , still if you look you will see smoke bubbles.

Just make sure you mix according to the specks.

Re: rich?

They smoke, trust me.

It shouldn't "fog" out your lake, but mine is a full fresh rebuild and when I am just putting around, I leave a smoke trail, light smoke, but noticable trail. Once you go fast enough that it doesn't come out the relief holes, then smoke is gone
