TXwhaler has it right. just crank it up. once it's up, if it's off a little bit, it's not hard to lift and shift it over.
I use a break (tilt) trailer for my 13' whaler but often don't bother with the break. And I don't have side bunks. I never let the axle get in the water (salt water).
Not only be sure your weight is in the keel rollers, be sure the sides of the rollers aren't too high, leaving the weight on the sides of the rollers and the bottom of the boat
