Got Pics? You are probably setting the trailer to far in the water, not letting the rollers and bunks do there thing.

You can't have TOO many keel Rollers.

A Whaler is kind of an odd duck when it comes to trailer setups. It is supposed to have ALL of the weight of the boat supported by the keel rollers, with the side bunks there to only provide lateral stability. http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/trailering/trailer.htmlc

With my setup (original Rocket trailer), I only back in until the back roller is barely submerged and winch it up. Launching it I back in until the wheel hubs are still above water, and push the boat off.

TXwhaler has it right. just crank it up. once it's up, if it's off a little bit, it's not hard to lift and shift it over.

I use a break (tilt) trailer for my 13' whaler but often don't bother with the break. And I don't have side bunks. I never let the axle get in the water (salt water).

Not only be sure your weight is in the keel rollers, be sure the sides of the rollers aren't too high, leaving the weight on the sides of the rollers and the bottom of the boat

on mine, the bunks are only about 3' long, and are 2x4's laid with the 4" side up. They merely steady the boat; if the boat is on one, it's barely touching the other. The rollers go almost to the winch stand.

i think your bunks are too high for a whaler
