I am rigging control cables on a Johnson 70hp 4 stroke and have a part in the "parts bag" from OMC that I have no clue as to what it is. It is metal and about 3 inches long and is looped? on each end. It appears to be some sort of pin or retainer. Anyone havean idea as to what it is or where it is installed? There were no directions with the cables or controls to identify this part and I'm at a standstill.
