Hi,

I have broken one of the bolts in my hydraulic manifold while changing the Mercathode Electrode.
Now I'm looking for the right partnr.
The manual says: 98825A4 that nr is replaced by 8M0080805.
So I ordered that part and got 8M0137703.
Does anybody know if this is the correct part?

Thank you in advance!

Did a lot of searching and it shows 8M0137703 as the latest part number (Merc site only) for the manifold which is used on All Alpha and Bravo Gimbal housing assemblies. The older part number still shows up but figuring it will be a while before all Merc sites are updated with the new part.

In short your good

I literally just installed one of those last week...

I bought a GLM brand manifold - it was under $50 off eBay.
Appears to be a great aftermarket manufacturer of manifolds:

Probably should have added, I'm pretty sure it would work, but you wouldn't find that design in the states.

Hmmm not really confident now, the mercathode electrode is attached and the hole is sealed with an o-ring to keep the water out.
Don't want to send the boat to the bottom of the lake
If merc changed the NR and the overall design why wouldn't you find it in the states?

Here - check out this post - again I just did the exact same procedure:

https://forums.iboats.com/forum/engi...e-installation

I took off my Mercathode though since it won't be sitting in the water.
If your boat is not going to be docked (like mine isnt) you may not need that Merathode - just an Anode.

The Mercathode should have a o-ring to keep that water out - but as I understand - that cavity will just fill up with crud/mud if that seal is not there...?

I don't know of that part is counterfeit or what...
None of the manifolds I looked at when buying mine - looked like the one you have...
You bought that part from a dealer - or where did you buy it from?

I looked up the UPC code on that - and it came back with nothing
Also - there are 3 part numbers being referenced there

I looked one of them up (8m0103941) - and its made by Daeshin Metal Mfg. Co., Ltd. - in South Korea
https://es.panjiva.com/shipment_sea...rt=2017-10-31&date-end=2018-01-31&q=8m0103941

The Quicksilver logo on the packaging seems a little sketchy as well - with streaks going through the lettering..

...just my observations...

It looks like Fun Tines didn't get the message. FT has the ability of checking the parts with the dealer sites, I don't. Since you started with a brand new part number that was only on the Merc site, it might be good. Send him a PM with a link to this thread, and this way he can advise.

Never know, this might be the next new design, it just needs to be flat to seal with an O ring, and it is flat
