right size prop for 85 60hp johnson

hello again looking to replace my prop on my 1985 60hp johnson mod. # J60ELCO i just removed the prop and its a 113/4-17 looking thru michigan wheel they rec. a 12-1/4-15 which be best for plain and speed thank you

The "right" prop is the one that moves whatever boat it is correctly rigged on to the top of, but not beyond, the engine's operating range at WOT.<br /><br />Without a tachometer and a correctly rigged engine with T&T we have to guess.<br /><br />My guess is that your rig will work best with a 17" prop.<br /><br />Good luck. :)
