Ringfree going up and options

Just heard on another forum that our local Yam dealer (who has always been on the top end, price-wise) is now sellnig ring-free at $55/qt, up from last year's $34.
There are case prices locally at $35/qt and on line at $39.

Then this came up: "Don't want to start a war here but I was told by a certified yamaha technician that the Quicksilver Premium Plus already had the ringfree in it and that it was as good or better than Yamalube. This was a gold wrench factory trained rep that I was talking to and at the time he was working for a rather large concern upper james river and was very highly recommended."

Then someone commented how Suzuki's don't use it and don't need it--why not? is it really necessary for a Yammy, or are we just drinking the Kool-aid?

And finally, to put it in perspective, it was noted that it typically tracked the price of Johnny Walker Black. As for me, however, I get a lot more pleasure out of consuming JWB than RF!

Re: Ringfree going up and options

I tried to order Ring Free through my local Yamaha dealer and they never heard of it, can't get it. Talking about Quebec province.

Been using Seafoam. Nearly 300 hours, no problems.
