Rinker 180 Steering issues at low speeds

I have just purchased a Rinker 180 with a 4.3 and Mercruiser outdrive. At no wake speeds I can not hold a straight course. When I turn a little to the right it turns a lot. When I try to correct and turn a little to the left, the out drive turns to far to the left. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I had a '96 180BR 4.3 with alpha one. At idle the bow wandered back and forth. Found it was best to leave it alone and it would usually correct itself instead of constantly working the steering wheel. I moved up to a 232 Captiva Cuddy with a Bravo 3 and it stays straight on course.

As earlier posts have shown, they all wander to a certain extent. Any play in the drive?

Sometimes adjusting the drive trim and/or throttle position will help. The Smart Tabs I added recently have reduced the wandering on my 192 significantly.
