I recently tried to remove the 3/4" plug in the riser manifold to install a brass elbow from a differient riser. I stuck a 1/2" drive socket wrench into the square opening and snap, the plug broke

I need to get that plug out, and I actually need to remove the brass elbow from the other exhaust riser elbow as well, but I REALLY don't want to break it.

Anyway, let me know what you think.

thanks,
Ryan

Re: Riser Block Plug

Howdy,

I had a similar problem.

I ended up drilling it out and running a tap in the hole to clean up the threads.

Are these special threads? Would a brass elbow with pipe threads fit?
-Thx,
Ryan

It's usually a standard NPT (National Pipe Thread 3/8, 1/2, 3/4"). Any Sears, ACE, or similar hardware store will have the taps.
