riser question

i just recently replaced the riser gaskets, the new ones are silver in color i torked them down and there was no problem. no leakes, my question is after i run the motor and get it hot should i retork them or isnt it necesary. thanks for your help in advance. sorry 1990 4.3 merc alpha 1 .

i would think so myself. i just put me a manifold and riser on mine. used it a couple of hours and retorqed it. i got all bolts to turn a little bit more, back to torque spec. just my opinion though.

Yes, please retorque riser bolts after they settle with initial use.
