I have cleaned/rebuilt the carb on my 15RL78B and successfully ran four times The only thing I can figure is varnish is coming off that cork float. Each time I cleaned it ran for as much as 40 minutes perfectly. But after it sets for a few days, it will run only at high RPM. It appears that Sierra doesn?t offer a float for my OB. Question: Is the OEM Shop2Evinrude float cork material too? Also I want to get a new slow speed needle too as the knurling is gone from mine. I noticed something down in the orifice for the needle called a bearing. Is that something I should replace and how? Furthermore, the drawings don?t anything securing the knob to the needle. Should there be a clamp of some sort there?
