Road America/Sonoma........

Not the most exciting race. One, stock cars look like dinosaurs on road courses, IMO. Leave them to the open wheel guys, but, whatever.

Danica looked really good. Stayed up front all day, made good passes. Had a little tough time when she briefly got the lead. She's still a follower, for now. Got dumped on the last lap by Villeneuve. He said something to the fact, "it had nothing to do with me and I really don't care". Huh? Nice attitude.... I think she was 4th at the time, still finished 12th.

Waiting for Indy at Iowa to start. They're delayed. Supposed to start sometime after 9pm central.

NASCAR radio has been hyping Sonoma and all the action at that track. Especially with the double file restarts. So I might have to tune in. Burton thinks the restarts make them look like unprofessional fools. I guess he's not too happy.. We'll see what happens, I guess......

I agree, Nascars need to stay on ovals.

I am sure we will see some bumping and banging going on. I wonder if ole Kurt will stay out of trouble today?

Just watched the race. Sure glad the wife upgraded our cable to include DVR. Man the commercials. Seemed to more than the usual dumping of blah, blah. After all the pre race hype on the radio on how great the race would be,,,,,, meh....... It had it's moments, but for the most part I'm still not a road course fan.

Clint was strong all day. Kurt sure came on and drove hard. Gordon recovered after a botched call by the crew chief allowing Jeff to run dry. Tony has been in the top 5. Good to see him continue to run well. Burton even pulled out 11th out of his shorts. Not sure if he was able to take advantage of the wrecking cars at the end. He was running 20 something most of the time. Vickers had a good finish too with only 3 or 4 races under his belt this year.

I see the poll they took had 75% wanting a road course in the chase and 25% against. Well, we know how I would have voted. I hope they don't do it.....

SInce I finally watched the race, I can start listening to NASCAR radio again tomorrow.. I wonder what the chatter has been about this week..........

Most of the chatter is about Kenseth leaving Roush and going to Gibbs. Roush replacing Kenseth with Stehouse, Jr. Kind of surprised at this now with Kenseth running so well and having such a long relationship with Roush.

Really. When is this suposed to take place? Is someone leaving Gibbs, or, are they just adding Matt? I forget how many drivers Gibbs has today.... I thought 3.

Sounds like Matt is just going to be an addition. A done deal except for the announcment. Sounds like too, Home Depot will be the sponsor. Wonder where that leaves Logano??? Just caught snipits on the radio today between jobs....

FYI, truck race tonite on SPEED. Starts in about 10 minutes. At Kentucky. Unusual Thursday nite race......
