Has any one dealt with these folks? I was told that they have been rebuilding marine motors for 30+ years. Claim to have less than 3% return rate on their rebuilds (that's good, isn't it?).

I've got one on order, just wanted to check them out more.

Also, can you tell a GM 305 from a 350 by outward appearences??

thanks, Larry :eek:

I have never heard of them.Usually you do the checking out of a company BEFORE you place an order??!!Very tough to tell the difference between the 2 blocks,nothing obvious.Wish you all the best with the rebuild.Im sure someone here has heard of them.there are many quality wrenches here.Charlie

There's Nothing Wrong with using a local machineshop.......

There are Casting #s at the left-rear on the Block, just behind the Head......
With these #s you can find out What,+ When the engine was built For, at the beginning of it's life(which has little to do with it's Present incarnation)........
Look Here;
http://www.mortec.com/

Good Luck.......
