I have a 1940 Sea King that has thrown a rod and i am having a hard tim finding a new one anyone know whwere i can find a new one

Go to aomci.org. They have a free classified ad section, and the members are all into old outboards. Don't forget to provide the model number of your outboard when you post an ad there. It'll be ignored, otherwise.

You could also try discount-marine-parts.com and go to SeaKing Outboards. You will need model and serial #.
The phone number is on the home page, I gave them a call and had lots of luck finding parts for an old elgin.

You for sure need the model number. Several companies made them for Wards. Your 1940 might be a Keikhaefer (Mercury) or an Evinrude. Or something else. Probably not a Gale.
