I just got a Suzuki 1989 85 hp it runs great but, the wire hardness that came with it is yamaha. The question is what are the color wires in the interchage, especially the wires for the tach? Thanks in advance.

without seriously chopping up both harnesses? its tough.
do a forum search on yamaha wire colors.
I have posted them a few times.
cant remember the old suzuki colors.

I think this is from an 88 65hp Suki, Tach signal is yellow. MaryD

I have the manual for the dt 75/85 suzuki, now you have to fine the yamaha wiring.
