roll&tip or roll&roll painting a lap streak aluminum boat

getting close to painting my 16ft. ss starcraft.ready to sand scratches, (what grit?). will i have a problem painting with a roller on the lapstreakes? which direction and what size roller should i use?

Yes and No. You'll for sure have to tip the small horizontal areas but the roller will work fine on the verticals. I'd use a 4" or 6" roller.
