Roller Replacement & Rings

My boat sits on a Karavan Classic trailer that has black rollers. I have never replaced the rollers since owning it and some are cracked. Any suggestions on DIY to replace the rollers? Mostly I am looking to see if I have to replace the hog style rings or can I go with cotter pins?

I went to replace one roller this past weekend the pin broke. Must be certain way to remove them.

Mostly just cut or brake them off and replace. Cotter pins will also work.
