Rookie with questions: 1972 Lund 14' Project

Hey everyone, I am new here and after reviewing many threads, a buddy and I have decided to begin work on modifying this 14 footer. This is our first project and any advice/ideas would be appreciated.

The boat is a three bench boat with a small 4th at the hull. Sorry I don't have pictures yet, there were too big in size and wouldn't upload. We decided to make 2 platforms, one from the back bench to the back of the boat, and another from the front bench to the front of the boat. Compartments would be in both platforms.

My main questions are:

Should I coat every piece of wood with fiberglass? If so, how many coats? I have been reading and it sounds like this is the way to go, but want to be sure.

Second, how do I make the live well function, and where can I buy a container for one?
From what I understand, a bilge pump is necessary inside to pump water out. What method is used to pump water back in???
The location we are looking at for the live well is in the middle bench since there is already a space for it as it used to be used for the battery. Is there a website to buy a container or would I have to make one for that location?

Any tips/ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

I have a 12' AeroCraft that is similar, I created a battery storage area in the middle bench. I decided against a livewell due to weight...but you could always use a cooler with a bubbler pump to circulate oxygen.

You could run a drain to the transom and use gravity to empty the livewell.

Epoxy resin works well to seal wood, keeps water out better than Thompson's wood sealer or poly resin.

Lunds are great little hulls, well worth the work to restore it. Good luck
