G'Day to all
Can someone please help. I have a Yamaha 9.9 2st O/b. Don't know how old or model No.
The I.D. reads as follows

9.9
6820 s 068302
Yamaha motor Co LTD
Pays D'origine Japan
Made in Japan.

This doesn't seem to collate with any thing on line.
I do need parts (1) Head gasket
(2 ) thermostat.
It has been running without a thermostat. does it really need one in warm salt waters.

No help on the year, might check with Yamaha dealer near you.

All motors designed for stats need them for a restriction even when they are open to force water to all parts of the motor evenly preventing hot and cold spots
