I am installing a steering consol on my 14 ft boat. I have the console set up and it is time to drill the holes to mount the steering unit. The main shaft and bracket is in place. My questions are:

1. What should the orientation of the unit be? The console is set up on the starboard side of the boat.

2. Should the cable be on the top or the bottom relative to the tail?

3. Should it be oriented at 120 degrees and curl up without a major bend?
