Just wantd first to thank all you for your input on my past concerns. Ok next I did a tune up my 1988 capri 3.0 L. Went to Napa auto parts for the kit . Installed parts in kit(Points, rotor, condensor. Started motor, it skipped ran rough at hi RPMS Boat stalled on water would not start until I let it sit awhile.. I removed distributor compared parts that where in boat to my recent parts bought at Napa. The new rotor look differently biult and rotor fit very tight when i pushed in place also had carbon trace on tip of it where it contacts the lugs for plug wires. I replaced the new rotor with the old rotor which slides on smooth not hard like new one. Ran motor it run much better. Has anyone had this same experinence? Should I be asking for something diffferent looking for these parts?
