I Have a 1985 Rinker V170. Last summer my front engine mount bolts were loose because of rotten wood. I filled in the holes with liquid nails and splinters or wood. I installed longer lag screws and they seem to be holding just fine. Well now this summer the rear mounting bolts are doing the same thing. So it is time to replace them.
My question is it possible to replace just the mounting pads without ripping up the whole floor? In the picture it looks like a couple of pieces of plywood. I know I need to cut them out. What are they mounted too? Are the pads (if that's what you call them) mounted to the stringers?
I know how to work with lumber. I just don't understand how everything is secure.
