Rough idle

Changed the fuel filter on my 04 4.3 GXI and now it has rough idle. Engine shakes some at idle before it was perfectly smooth. Thanks for any help

How long have you run it since you changed the filter? Did you pre-fill the filter?

Filter is from last year. And have used it about 5 times this year before changing. And no I didn't prefill it. Is that a concern?

Please tell me you don't dump it out and put it back on!

No bought a new one and put it on. Just didn't prefill it

OK...I was reading into what you said there a little bit!

I am just thinking you have some air in your system that needs to work its way out.

Just re read that you that you asked how long I ran on the new filter. I would say about an hour on the new one
