I had my carberator adjusted on my 98 bass tracker with 60 hp mercury motor because it was idiling too low and also had the rectifior replaced because the RPM guage wasn't reading correctly. It idles at around 1000 RPMS. I fish on a lake with a speed limit of 10mph but when i go 10mph the RPM guage reads around 3000 to 3500 rpms. My question is when i take it to a lake without a speed limit and get it on plane and top out at 30 mph will it still run at 5500 rpms even though at 10 it is running at 3500 rpms? Does 3500 rpms seem like a lot for 10mph i guess it is pushing a lot of water so that would make sense please advise.
