Hey Guys, I have a 1992, 40 hp Mariner outboard that seems to have trouble holding a consistant RPM. This it only with in a certian range of RPM, It starts to become an issue around half throttle. The motor seems to "bog" down ever so slightly and then back up, but once I power through it, the problem seems to correct it self. No idea where to start???

You could have some water in your gas or old gas. or a bad fuel line connection. when I have this type problem if my fuel line is old, I go buy a new fuel line and connections and bulb and see if problem goes away , if not I start checking fuel pump the carbs

@Coloradolakeboy that info is great, will def use that to do an overall assesment! Thank you. @SparkieBoat I will start with replacing all connections from the fuel tank to the motor, there prob is a leak in there some where, my connections and hoses are pritty old and a little sun baked. It is a much needed replacement anyways! So will let you guys know how it goes, Thanks again guys!!!
