Might be a dumb question but when talking RPMs and WOT does RPM refer to the engine RPMs or the prop RPMs.

Re: Rpm - wot

To get prop rpm's you would have to multiply engine rpm by your drive ratio. But who the heck needs prop rpm's?:p Just fyi... incorrect prop or poorly running engine can contribute to low WOT. But usually prop pitch and WOT are directly related.

OK I'll answer your question. RPM refers to Engine RPMs, WOT means Wide Open Throttle.

To be totaly correct:
To get prop rpm's you would have to DIVIDE engine rpm by your drive ratio.

You beat me to it......prop spins slower than engine, not faster.....he may have meant you multiply rpm X (1/x.xx) which works too. but I digress.
