I have a rope inset on my rub-rail that constantly needs power washed to remove mold, algae and whatever dirt/black crap.
Any tricks to treating the rope to keep it somewhat white looking?

Re: Rub-rail question

Once you get it cleaned up with a brush and some softscrub with bleach and after a thorough rinse and dry, give it a good coat of waterproofing spray.I recommend the cheap stuff that Walmart sells in the camping dept.Aerosol can with bright orange cover.Better and cheaper tha the Scotchguard right next to it.Unfortunately since I turned you guys on to it 2 years ago,the price has increased. It aint $2.99 a can any more.

I'll give it a try... I can get it clean with my power washer, just can't keep it that way. Maybe the waterproof will seal it and at least stretch out the time between washing.
