Is it necessary to caulk a vinyl rub rail? I replaced the original that had a terrible caulk job. I sealed up old holes and deck to hull joint before attaching new rub rail.<br />Would it be better to allow water to drain from the occasional gap between rail and hull?<br /> Thanks for the help,<br /> JD
