I need to replace the vinyl rub rail insert in my 1976 columbia 22' sailboat. It's approx. 2" wide. I can't seem to come up with anything. I contacted TACO and they don't have anything. It seems that TACO is the only supplier on the internet. Please help if you can.
Pat

Re: Rub Rail

There is a marine salvage dealer in St. Petersburg that has a whole shed full of used rub rails and inserts. You simply go there and pick out what you need (bring the measurements and a measuring tape).
Stalker

Re: Rub Rail

I've seen some people replace with a rope (glued in). 2" is pretty big though.

Try Wefco Rubber Products. They have a website. The guys at Fiberglassics.com get theirs from there.
