Rubber exhaust coupler has hole need quick fix for the weekend

One of my exhaust couplers has a 2 and a 1/2 inch crack in the rubber right where the clamp goes. I have another on order, but will not be here in time for the weekend, any ideas out there to temp repair it? I'm thinking a piece of radiator hose and a extra clamp so 3 clamps hold it in place.Any thoughts will be appreciated.

That might work.. I would be sure to bring some extra hose and clamps, and check it frequently.<br /><br />Are you referring to a water line, or coupler off the exhause manifold ??<br /><br />(also, might want to put some high-temp permitex under your patch job)

take the clamp off and wrap it with the ole' faithful DUCT TAPE - put clamp back on and go...
