Further to my previous post regarding purchasing replacement pistons for my 1971 V4 125hp Evinrude, I have found a supplier in the U.K who may be able to help me, the only problem is identifing the correct piston. From the info he has sent me I think the correct part is a series 3073. His listings dont go back as far as 1971 but the sizes seem to be correct. (this part is listed for several V4 engines post 1974).

Many Thanks

Re: Rude 125hp pistons

The 3073 (Wiseco) is not the right piston. Actually thats an old series thats now 3173 (was 3013) for 1974 and newer. The 3174 is for the 1973 115 and 135. Wiseco does not make a piston for the 1971/1972 125.

Sorry.

Thanks dhadley you saved me a few quid on the wrong part.
I'm back to square one now! Can anyone help with locating the piston I need in the U.K, or is there a US company who will ship to me.
