RUFF Idle

I have 2001 Yamaha 225 and when I'm idle'n from the ramp the motor Idles very rough and seems to miss but when I trim the engine up so it sets horizontal it idles normal. Top speed doesn't seem effected. Only will run rough when idle with the engine trim all the way down. Any takers with what it might be the cause? Thanks

post the full model number. need to know what we are dealing with.
is the motor coughing/sneezing? if so, this is a lean sneeze.

for starters, check that your low pressure fuel pumps are ok. i usually change mine every three years as cheap preventative maint.
