Having just bought my Tahoe Q4 a month ago I am assuming the Run/Stop switch below the throttle control is a safety device which should have a wrist harness attached to it. (which it hasn't)
Are these universal or manufacturer specific?

I have been trying to find a replacement here in Dubai but cannot locate one for my boat.

Each time I go out I think more and more about what could happen should things get out of control and it scares me.

Any ideas or suggestions for an alternative fix greatly received.

One other thing, I have trawled the internet before asking this....what does I/O actually stand for?

The Throttle control harness (Lanyard) can be connected to anything on you like your clothes. I wouldn't want want the lanyard on my wrist per say. :) They are pretty universal.

I/O stands for Inboard/Outboard. Meaning you have a Stern drive sticking out of the transom and you have an inboard engine compartment.

Safety lanyard is pretty universal. There are several designs over the last many years, but many of the replacement ones come with 6-7 "heads" to fit more than one switch.
