I just purchased an excellent condition Rinker V153. For a 21 year old boat the condition is fantastic as it is less than 30 hours use and never stored outside.

Then interior is in showroom condition except for the side walls of the ski storage area along both sides of the boat. Both are pulling away from the boat. They were only stapled on from the factory !?! with a 1/2 inch wide by approx 1 1/2 inch long staples then upholstered over. I tried pushing them back in, but the staples aren't finding the original holes.

Anyone encounter this problem? I would like to fix it without reupholstering the side walls.

My current thought is to nip off the staples with a side cutters and epoxy the side wall back to the boat. Don't know if this has ever been tried before. Have pics of the boat in the camera, will try to post them when I get them in the computer.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Jeff
