runaway rpm on start

well thanks to anyone who can solve this one. ill get right to the meat of it.suzuki dt 140 efi 1999 year note with linage un hooked and all carb valve bodys closed on start witch is instant motor revs so fast i have to shut it off have checked for air leaks behind carbs and intake manifold also unit has a elect.idle control that i even tryed a 2nd one can this be a bad rpm counter! ON FLYWHEEL can any one tell me the ohms of it or am i even on the right track. please help the fish are bitting.

1. Is this happening with it on a flush attachment? If so, try it with backpressure and wait for the timing to rtard in about 10 seconds.
2. If #1 doesn't work, look for a sheared flywheel key.

well thanks 4 taking the time 1 answer no have a tank that i test and flush in 2 ill pull top cover flywheel guard off and look for a spinout of key ill b back cj

I don't think this engine can 'run away' without the throttle body's being open.If air cannot get in fuel won't burn.
