Hello

Is there another system for running water through the motor besides the clamp with the big suction cups? On my 1067 evinrude 33 h the intake holes don’t seem to work with this method.
If I put the lower unit in a barrel of water can I take the propeller off to run it.

Thank you

If you don't, you'll splash all the water out in a few seconds.

There was a hose adapter that attached to the antiventilation plate and fed the intake in front of the exhaust snout, but they never did work worth a crap. The barrel method is fine. :)

You can leave the engine in neutral instead of taking off the prop. ;)

I wrap a bungee cord around the muffs to get a better seal

Roboat, If that motor has a grating above the anti-ventilation plant (water intake during reverse operation) you can try a standard pair of muffs. First tape the normal water intake behind the prop to seal it. Next remove one of the rubber muffs, attach the hose to the other one an slip the muff ove the LU until it covers the reverse water intake. You may need to pad the muff frame a bit.

It is a bit messy but it worked OK for me.
