Was not a personal attack.... it was a observation based on posted information and the fact that his avatar is a oil can...But we do live in the United States of the easily offended........

Ok well then I guess we don't have to worry about reading any posts from you in the prop forum......... You are doing nothing more than trying to stir s&^t where there is non to be stirred........... I guess in your world referring to someone as a guru is bad.......

Later prop guru.........

If I wanted drama, I'd go to THT. Please quit.

OP - I think it would have been fine for the initial start up but since you have run already not much help. My 260 sat for a bit over three years. I didn't pre-fog/lube I just cranked without fuel for a bit.

i would after the sitting put in new engine oil, impeller , maybe plugs and fresh gasoline istead of oil in the tank . if you go too rich the guy on the ramp will not pay you the clogged carb rebuild, adding very little will do not have any effect. lubricating the cylinderwalls with this method on a 4 stroke with a pressure oil system cannot be serious.

generally speaking everbybody can try to run a spark ignited petrol engine on diesel fuel to check out how happy the engine generally is with oil based fluids in the combustion chamber.
