Check the compression to determine how much damage was done to the cylinder walls/rings.

Does it make any unusual noises?

Ken

This is a tough one. Usually a motor with no oil will show symptoms by overheating and slowing down due to the excess friction and eventually seize and stop completely. Since you didn't notice any of this happening, you may have lucked up. Do a compression test to see if you've got around 100# and the cylinders are within 15# of each other.

I have heard and read some amazing stories about how long some of these engines run without oil. Do the compression check and post back to us and let us know what you found.

g'luck & c/6

Hooty
