I bought anchor with a white coating on the chain. After 2 years of use the coating has chipped and flaked. The chain is rusting and staining the gelcoat around the cleat. Does anyone have any suggestions to get rid of the rust stain? Thanks.

There are a few things that will work.If you have any Marykate on-off,that will work.Any type of fiberglass cleaner from west marine. In your kitchen cabinets you may have some CLR I think it is called.the fiberglass cleaner will work instantly, just wipe it on.It comes in a blue jar about the size of a jar of jewlry cleaner. It goes on like cream.Depending on how bad it is you may be able to use softscrub.I have heard of a combination of baking soda and vinegar working too.Let us know which worked best.Charlie

After you get it cleaned off, get some spray on bed liner from the auto parts store and recover the bare areas. I did it with an anchor I had and it worked great. I also coated my downrigger balls, made them look lots better. 1 spray can goes a long way. :D
